Shown in the above seven shots is the second XJD-1
(BuNo 57991) of two USAAF A-26C Invaders assigned to VJ-4 at NAS Norfolk, for USN utility work. A total of 140 A-26Cs were
acquired for Navy use as JD-1 (UB-26J) target tugs and JD-1D (DB-26J) drone control aircraft. USN.

Above, taken from a C-124 as the mother ship for navigational
purposes across the Pacific, on a flight from CA, Hickam, Wake Island, Guam, Clark to Bien Hoa. The C-124's were
heading for an Agent orange mission term and were escorted by these two A-26 Invaders.
