Sproat Lake on Victoria Island is home to the Martin Mars Waterbombers( Hawaii and Philippine Mars) Sproat Lake is located just outside of Port Aberni.

Alberta has at least 11 Tanker Bases in the province. Most of these are only operational when fires are burning in the area.
